Countless hiking paths, idyllic mountain lakes and a 360-degree view are only some of the attractions the Hochstein offers. Reach lofty heights in Tyrol’s biggest high ropes course, meet cuddly friends in the “Moosalm” petting zoo, romp around in the woodland playground, and master the downhill trails of the Lienz bikepark. An absolute highlight for everyone that no one should miss is a ride on the “Osttirodler” – one of the longest summer toboggan runs in the Alps.

It is a skiing paradise for World Cup professionals, locals, and for big and small snow lovers and promises boundless freedom far away from crowded slopes. Try your first turns in the snow or experience the spectacular ladies’ World Cup race up close on your own skis. Of course, the Hochstein also offers countless winter activities without skis. Those who have been here once, will come back again!

With more than 2,000 hours of sunshine a year, make Lienz is a sun city and the Zettersfeld one of the most impressive sun terraces in the Alps. Above the timberline, at an altitude of about 1,800 m, vast alpine pastures and flowering mountain meadows stretch out. Here is the gateway to the Hohe Tauern National Park and a good starting point for many beautiful family hikes.

Hotspot no. 1 is the Zettersfeld family park, followed by the natural lakes “Neualplseen”. Whether it is a summit experience, a fixed-rope route or wildlife observation in the national park - there is something for every nature lover. Treat yourself to some relaxation with view of the Lienz Dolomites!
