Steinermandl via Rottmannalm

From the Zettersfeldbahn mountain station (1,812 m), follow the road heading west past Pepo’s am Berg, then continue along the back side of “der Alm” toward Rottmannalm. Follow the forest trail and continue up the path to Steinermandl (2,213 m). A leisurely hike for all ages.

The Neualplseen: A Natural Gem

From the top station of the Steinermandl 4-person chairlift at 2,213 m, follow the well-marked hiking trail northward past the “Goisele” toward the Hohe Tauern National Park. After a short descent of about 20 meters in elevation, the trail levels off across the alpine meadows to the natural gem that is Neualplseen.

Schleinitz

From the top station of the Steinermandl 4-person chairlift (2,213 m), follow the well-marked trail toward the Neualplseen lakes. From the signpost on the south shore, the trail leads over rough boulder terrain to the southern ridge and on to the summit cross. For experienced hikers only!

Eastern Sattelköpfe

From the Steinermandlbahn mountain station, follow the hiking trail toward the Neualplseen lakes in the Hohe Tauern National Park. From there, it’s a short, steep climb to the summit cross at 2,697 meters.

Zettersfeld Family Park

From the Zettersfeldbahn mountain station to the Naturfreundehütte and back to “der Alm,” you’ll find 15 adventure play stations. All stations invite you to play and run around or simply relax, while also providing interesting information about the 15 animals found in the area. With a little imagination, the adventure story of the family park’s mascot, “Steiner Mandl,” brings the stations to life and guarantees an exciting day on the Zettersfeld. (The game set can be rented directly at the gondola exit.)

Fairy Tale Trail to the Hochstein Hut

From the top station of the H2 double chairlift, head uphill toward Lake Hubertus. From there, follow the “Märchensteig” trail—partly through dense forest—to the Hochstein Hut at 2,023 meters.

TIP: Just a few minutes’ walk away is the Hochstein Cross at 2,057 meters.

Sternalm – Böses Weibele

From the Sternalm, the trail first leads along the Märchensteig to the Hochsteinhütte. From there, follow the trail across flat alpine meadows and up a final ascent to the summit of the Böses Weibele (2,521 m).

Reiterkirchl

From the Moosalm, follow the forest trail past the “Taxer Moos” reservoir to the Reiter Kirchl. A leisurely hike with stunning views for the whole family

Taxer Moos Reservoir

Just a short walk from the Schlossbergbahn mountain station, past the llama enclosure, you’ll find the Taxer Moos reservoir. You can reach it via either the forest road or the hiking trail. It’s a place that invites you to linger!
